How Does Christian Matchmaking Work? Understanding the Betrothed Journey

Considering a matchmaking service can bring questions beyond “Will I meet someone?” You may want to know what happens first, what information you will share and when you are agreeing to membership.

Before you begin, you should be able to understand the process and its limits. Here is an introduction to Betrothed’s personal approach for Christian singles aged 25 and over.

    Begin with The Betrothed Discovery

Discovery is the initial stage before membership. It helps introduce the service and begin gathering the information needed to understand your circumstances and intentions.

The process may include personal and contact details, questionnaire responses, identity verification, screening requirements and a Matchmaking Assessment. Review the current Discovery information for the specific steps, fees and booking arrangements that apply.

Completing Discovery does not guarantee acceptance into membership.

Explore more than a list of preferences

The Matchmaking Assessment allows Betrothed to understand your faith, values, lifestyle, goals, relationship intentions and preferences in greater depth.

It also helps assess whether Betrothed can offer an appropriate service for you. It is useful to be honest about important considerations such as location, family responsibilities and what you hope for in a relationship.

Questions are welcome. If you do not understand why information is being requested, ask how it will be used and consult the Privacy Policy.

    Understand membership before agreeing

Betrothed offers Anchor, Rock and Shield membership options. The applicable Membership Agreement and Membership & Payment Schedule confirm the services, term, match opportunities, total price and payment arrangement you purchase.

Read those documents together with the membership overview. Check what “up to” means for any stated opportunities, and review the cancellation and refund terms.

Where instalments are offered for a fixed-term membership, do not assume they are a cancel-anytime monthly subscription. Ask for clarification before committing.

    Introductions remain personal

Betrothed uses human-reviewed matchmaking rather than public member profile browsing. Introductions are considered with the information and service arrangements in mind.

You still have choices. An introduction does not guarantee mutual attraction, a date, a relationship, engagement or marriage. Take time to get to know the other person and exercise your own judgement.

    Your next step

If you would like to understand whether this approach could suit you, watch the Discovery explanation and explore the process.

If you have already reviewed that information and are ready for the next step, visit the Discovery booking page. For questions, contact help@thebetrothed.co.uk.
